Guns:
- WIN Chester > a single bullet Shotgun with high damage output, and heavy fall-off damage
Fast reload, but very little ammo capacity.
Suggested: 70~90 damage per bullet, fall of 50% per range increase (70 > 35 > 17)
Why? To help engys that focuses on defence. High accuracy, high reward.

- Grease Monkey Suit > Looses the Pistol for a heavy duty gear:
This has 2 main effects:
- The engeneer counts as a Level 1 Dispenser, so, he can heal/ammo supply himself and allies
Does not generate metal, also, disables the buildable dispenser.
- They allow at the cost of temporarily disabling and some hit points the buildable to be moved.
(15% level 1, 40% level 2 and 80% level 3)
Buildables go noisy and in assembling form, then turn into a Crate, this crate retain all status from the buildable it was, and its HP/Kills/Whatever it had. The engeneer can pick them up (like ammo), and it goes into Deploy-Mode-Blue-Thingy-Box-Stuff again, that can be redeployed at 33% its normal time. (Cannot switch weapons in this mode).

- Welder > The engeneer can use this state of the art, fully texan, american Welder.
While truly lacking the weight of the wrench, it can provide a steady and easy repair ability, Continuous fire mode (like pyro): Repair constantly as needed, for as much necessary metal as needed.
Can upgrade buildables for 44 Metal Per Second.
Holds (275) metal, but deals barely NO damage, does not crit, also, does not accelerate building deploying progress.

(there was NO change in Spy PDA, so i suppose there will be NO buildable change, except for bug fixes, and perhaps some ability increase.)

Achievments:
A Big Freakin Gun > Have 25 kills with a single sentry.
Red Ball Express > While on defence, provide 500 amunitions total to allied Heavy.
Factory Owner > Assist with a dispenser with 1000 hit-points healed.
All Set up, Wait, where is everyone? ._. > Move at least buildables 3 or more times, and have them used by the team at least once each set up.
Need a dispenser here! > After requested, set up a dispenser for allies.
Dang, Damit Daming Darned Damit > Have at least 3 buildables sapped at one time, and remove all 3 sappers.
That ain't what was coming > Tele Frag 10 enemies.
Showdown > Assist 10 kills in a single life.
Welcome to the Front Lines! > Teleport 1000 Allies, and at least 1 enemy Spy.
I feel like i've dropped something... > Deploy a sentry, and have it kill someone while you are dead.
Hyyyiiaaa !!! > Kill one of each class of enemies with your wrench.
I built that. > Have a Sentry survive  shots from enemies under Uber Effect.
They are pointed at you. > Dominate someone with your Sentry.
Teamplay? On my team? Is more likely then you think > Upgrade 250 allied buildables.

Updated 08/July/2009 > Nice idea from (LandsharK ), stole it .

So, what do you think??
tl;dr?

Gonna go ahead and warn you that you're about to be blasted by a ton of people over the spelling of Engineer.

Houdini Teleporter
It's like a regular teleporter, but rather than upgrading to make it recharge faster, it gains new and exciting features. At level 2, it becomes cloaked. The cloak works similar to the spy's, but with some differences. It's permanently cloaked, but if an enemy stands on top of the teleporter, it becomes visible for 3 seconds. Taking the teleporter decloaks it as well. Also, if that's overpowered, damage could make the cloak flicker. At level 3, the teleporter can work both ways, and the time where the cloak is revealed is reduced to one second.

It would be really awesome for offensive engineers. You could put both exits in the enemy base and keep teleporting around, and generally being an annoying bastard. Inspired by the Annoying Bastard Guide that someone posted before.

Milky reads the future. I was preparing to get 1942 on you and say Engineer.

Anyway, nice ideas. I especially like the melee replacement.

Man, the letter 'i' just isn't feeling the love today.  I've go mixed feelings about the prospects of the engineer update, and I really want to see what Valve puts on the table before I start prognosticating.

valves pattern is to change the style of a class, such as natascha making heavy more defensive, so i think engi will be more offensive and have something really simple like, builds stuff faster etc.

They probably will do something offensive, and probably going back to the original TF with armor. In this case it would be HP overheal that doesn't degrade. Pick up ammo boxes for health?

There is no I in team, but there is none in engeneer for me 8P
What i have for you, are some really bad news, i was all happy about spy update (my main class), and when it came to it, it was rubish.
The Amabassador ( or Imbassador) makes the spy a front liner.
The PDA got no change, what is kind of cheap.
The Knife got NO CHANGE, and, they rollback on the facestab exploit, that makes me furious with noob spies that go berseker facestabing everyone, while the hard earned cloak and strategy down the drain.
The Cloack & Dagger is allright, its a gameplay style...
The Dead Ringer is a joke, allowing people to backstab engineers even in front of the SG.

/rant...

So, dont expect much from valve, they deliver on time, true, but sometimes, then give you piss, and make it look like its worth.
