[Video] L4D Rat Race!

Well, as L4D is getting sort of stale already, my friends and I came up with something to spice things up.  We called it l4d rat race.  Our goal was to rush through the levels as fast as possible, and the first one into the safe room wins. The amount you help your teammates is up to you, as we may need their help later.  TKing was not allowed, but you could 'accidentally' shoot each other during a fight.

I made a video of us doing stages 3 , 4 , 5 of No Mercy on Advanced using the above method.  (I excluded the first two parts because nothing funny happened)

In my video there's plenty of tank hiding, friendly fire, door slamming, leaving each other behind, cremating, and much more!

I love speed runs! Me and my friends do it all the time.

Although it really ticks me off when I make it to the safe room first only to find out that there is a boomer right there and I'm walking in seeing black and white.

That's how I normally play the game on any normal and easy settings.  Expert you wouldn't make it past the first stage just running like wild, and advanced I never play

What inspired me to record this was right before the first clip in the movie, we were attacked by a tank in room above the sewers.  I took off running, while it killed my teammates.

I made it through the sewers, and upon leaving them, found TWO additional tanks standing up there, rocks raised.

I just don't find it fun to run through.

You miss so much stuff, as nades, health, second pistol....

I mean, running through the first stage on No Mercy on Expert would be cake, but anything else and you can't exactly speed run through.


Plus, ours was a race.  We're going to be doing it on Dead Air with no teamwork later (except at the wait here and defend against the horde parts), should be interesting.

@ malhavok well I had double pistols during most of the movie, and we picked up a few medkits.  Once you've played it to death on versus / campaign you need to do something more exciting.
