2Fort Defense Idea (perfect?)

THIS IDEA IS FROM WHEN I ONLY PLAYED IN PUB GAMES BUT THEN SOMEONE WENT AND NECROED IT ARRG

This is my idea for an impentrable Defense on 2Fort...the problem is
a. requires people to coorporate
b. extremely boring for 6 people
other than that, I think it could work

this is designed for 8 vs. 8

2 Heavies, 2 Engies, 2 Medics, 1 Spy, 1 Demo

Heavs, Engies, and Medics go to the intel room

Engies-Set up a sentry, patrolling each of the halls (in Intel room) build a despencer. use shotgun to help defend
Heavies-Hold Fire for each hall (Spy check) Despencer gives unlimited ammo
Medics-Heal, Ubercharge counters enemy Uber

Demo and Spy play Offense
Spy places sappers, so the Demo can safely lay stickies
Only 2 people would be hard to capture, but you would have such a strong Defense

So guys, do you think this could work?

well, just to start off without even reading the post, NOTHING is perfect, thats an imaginary word
but after reading yes, it does seem like a fairly solid technique
but now all you can do is defense, do you have ANY offense at all?
how do you plan to win?

well, yes, nothing is perfect, I just meant, you know, pretty good. thanks for the compliment. For offense, thats where the Spy and Demo come in (there could be better combos, feel free to discuss) also, this is for a 8 vs. 8. if it were 12 vs. 12, it would be a lot easier for offense.


all in all, though, this was namely for the Defense, and just an idea

The last thing 2fort needs is better defense.  I see too many stalemates there already.

It was just an idea I thought of. I do agree that 2Fort has enough Defense/Stalemates
 that I would hate if the enemy used this plan. All I'm saying is I think it could work

The server I always join is a 8v8 server.

The most annoying intel defense I've seen was similar to that, \with 1 solly 1 heavy 2 medics and 2 sentries.
In the end, it was countered with my team's 2 amazing soldiers and a demo that blew up the sentries with uber, and causing the enemy to burst uber, and then finishing off the enemy team after uber ran out.
I guess it wouldn't have ended that way if the uber heavies blocked the explosives coming at the sentry, but it was nevertheless pure awesomeness.

FYI, I'm talking scrims here. I'm assuming you are too, since you're trying to get 8 players all coordinated!

Wouldn't work. Your demo will never get across the midfield, as he's gonna be hammered by the constant offence of 6 of their team members - that's a demo, 3 soldiers and two medics, for example. And those 6 team members will also smash that defence with ease.

If the other team coordinates 4 ubers they would get rid of the defense.

1 uber demo for the sentries
1 uber pyro to kill the people
1 uber heavy to kill the people more.

And this leaves room for two defenders. Probably a pyro and an engineer to hold the base while their teammates attack.
