I just purchased a 32 slot tf2 server and as soon as the 25th person joins a team it crashes. The hosting company has no idea and is no help at all. This happened about 6 times so I had them move me to a new box with a fresh clean install and it happened again and I did not change 1 thing or install 1 mod. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you need your provider to either do something or get a refund and drop them.

Thing is I got the server when it was on sale for $24/month and its actually a good server so I don't want to drop them.

I'm thinking it has something to do with when servers over 24 players were delisted....

Are there any weird settings that had to do with this or anything?

You should probably post a support ticket on the site where you ordered the server.

There are IT guys there to help you out if you have any problems, and most of the time if you are specific they will fix your stuff for you.

They actually said it was Valve's problem not theirs and cancled my server/account.

I got this server on sale very cheap so I got them to open it back up and the agreement was I have to fix it myself.

Did they explain the problem to you specifically? But saying "it was Valve's problem" sounds awfully sketchy....

This is how they replied to my support ticket.

"Blake,

Please understand that we do not design the game -- and have no way of fixing an issue with it such as this. Based on what you said -- this is obviously an issue with the game instance itself and not with the server."

Your server provider is stupid. We used to have this problem on one of our servers because although our server was set for 34 max players, the server install was limiting the server to maxplayers 16, so anytime we broke 16 players, the server would crash. It's definitely your server providers fault. You should probably can your servers and go with ClutchKill.com cause they fixed that shit for us immediately.
