I myself don't have PC as I've said in other posts but the reason I'm going to add this here is because its not in the custom maps sections and because I think that this map needs some attention because overall it does look like an amazing map.

It's a 5 point control point map that runs kinda like Gravel pit in a sense except that Red has to defend Control point A and E at both times. The map changes constanly as A is captured B is then able to be captured, E is easier to capture and Red is given a penalty, while routes change. E must be defended at all times because if E is captured it is automatically game over for Red. The thing about it though is that it in situated in a large gap that prevents Blu from getting across. Scouts are able to make it though.

When CP A is captured routes to D and E are opened.
When CP B is captured routes Red's respawn is pushed back.
When CP C is captured three bridges will extend to CP E.
When CP D is captured the three bridges are given railings.

If I had a good PC I'd love to try this one out. Does this map exist on the TF2F servers? And if anyone from this site has played this map what is your personal experience from playing it?

Good concept and good map, but It is very large meaning it needs a good 24-32 players to be fun. It is also highly annoying when you are defending A or B but a scout sneaks past and trys to cap E.

I've played this map before. It's a lot of fun.
It's good for 24 players, because most of the action happens around 2 or so points.
Personally, I think this would be a good map to add to the rotation here.

What does everyone think of the revised Steel? I love it. Loved the map before. But now you can get to the lower platform for E, and just mess up the Sentry-Nest with a good Demo.

I don't see why people like this map. Are people fond of spammy maps like Dustbowl and Goldrush?

It's very hard to attack certain points and almost a cakewalk to take others. A can be frustrating if you don't make it a team effort and B & C are just ridonculous. Sometimes I think the offense is more dependent on Offensive Engineers scattered around the E Hallways to teleport BLU enough to get the cap simply because RED can't kill them fast enough.

D and E can very easy to take once the hard part is over and done with, as long as RED hasn't set up too many sentries over E. The thing is, E is a long way from RED spawn so BLU can simply take advantage, pile on the cap, and spam any defenders trying to get through.

Pyros can also be total dickwads on this map. Heavies and Demos dominate. Healthpacks and Ammopacks are plentiful which is almost counterproductive. It's a lousy map IMO, far too small, mazelike and chokepoint-y.

Anybody think the revised Steel needs to give more time to attackers?

Hell yeah!

Seriously, nothing like a good 'ole choke point to give your team a good workout and force them to communicate and co-ordinate.

Let me tell you something: Any semi-organized team can get a point. If you can't get A, have a Scout or two head for E with a Demo or Medic-Heavy backing them up. Guarantee that the defending team will vacate A. The same strategy applies to virtually any point. But now to get E, a Demo can get to that lower platform and just annihilate the Sentry nest on the D flanking position.

It's a very fair map.
