A dummie ask >> Keeping the bullies out

Hello forts.

I need a little help with solving an issue here. Even my ask is stupid and easy to do, I guess, I am not ashemed, because I spent like an hour diggin into the UI and using google. Now might be I am a total stupe...

What I am trying to accomplish is  Keeping the bullies out.  I done all, but not the following line:

"Assign the material overlays/no_entry to the side that faces away from the spawn area and be sure to set its Associated Respawn Room to the correct func_respawnroom, for example, respawnroom_red_01."

Oh I see.

I'm guessing you are having a problem with that last step. Not a problem. So first, create a brush (a block) in the doorway or wherever you don't want the other team to be. Second, tie it to the entity func_respawnroomvisualizer by selecting the brush and pressing controll + t. Then, using the texture tool, find the tools/trigger texture, and paint the brush completely with that texture. Then, find the overlays/no_entry texture and assign it to the side that the enemies will be facing. Then, open the properties of the respawnroomvisualizer. There will be an option that says "associated respawn room." In the box, type the name of the func_respawnroom that it is protecting. And there you go! That should solve it.

I feel a bit uncomfortable to admit that I wa actually looking for overLAY(without s), and I was digging that way like for an hour. A friend on steam told me anyway, but I thank you really. Thank you and may be I should thanks all the guys I spammed on pm if the happen to pass by. Hehe. =]

There are several other good mappers here, look around in this forum and see what would be the most helpful to you.

You can check this out as well, I had posted some .vmfs to give people things to actually look at in Hammer.  http://www.teamfortress2fort.com/forums/t/TeamDoorTutorialvmf-6440.aspx  See if that helps you out.  Don't try to open it in game, it has to be opened with Hammer.
