Ahhh! Help?

Ok, so I think there is something wrong with me. 

Sniping has always been a class I wanted to get good at in tf2 but I just cant seem to get it. 

I have a very tough time to hit my target.  Much less get a head shot.  I usually play at 2fort and I snipe out in the battlements.  I always miss when I see someone though! 

I can never get my mouse down fast enough to where I need to hit.  Can anyone help?

How many hours do you have? Also the best way to get better is to keep trying to snipe against players at your level.

And I have 2hr and 31 minutes.

And Also how do I find players that are at my level? You don't really have a choice when it comes to servers.

Try something different, take it slow and work up to where you want to be.  Make sure your Choke remains around 0-10 and your ping reliable.  Make sure you're comfortable with your mouses sensitivity settings.  Don't just stay in one area, doing so will prevent many possibilities and potential saves for your team. 

One of the key things before even practicing is making sure that your rate, cl_cmdrate, and cl_updaterate are all at reasonable settings, otherwise you'll experience trailing hitboxes.

As for sniping itself, practice practice practice, get to know your weapons and aim relative to your enemies class.  Keep a mental note of what areas of the map promote enemies to traffic the most, also keep a mental note of the average height of classes, this way you'll know where to aim (For the head of course!), this isn't really necessary since a fully charged chest shot is still insane..  But it's good to know when getting better. 

Even though it may seem like your reaction time is off, stay patient with yourself, I'd say practice on servers with alot of players in them at first.

Ah, you need to keep practicing then. As you practice and gain more hours you should notice a skill increase.

The Tilda ( ~ ) key will open your console up.

Type in it "Rate" to check your rate, you can type "Rate 25000" to change your rate to 25000...

Typing "cl_cmdrate #" will change it.

Typing "cl_updaterate #" will change it. (Use a reasonable variable)

You should set your rates relative to your own connection speed and the server, here is an in-depth article.

You can also type Net_graph 3 in your console to view your Loss, Choke, etc.  Click Here. (Net_graph 0 will disable the graph.)
