The vent password has changed from the one on the top-right - if you add one of us on Steam (my ID is coriolis_cascade, feel free to add me!) and ask for the password, we'll send it via that. (It's to stop spammers joining the vent channel...)
Definitely don't feel guilty talking either over voice comms or vent. One person with only a little play experience trying to organise the team is better than nobody at all - and, if your suggestions are totally wrong, someone else will butt in to explain why, and that'll get things moving anyway.
It feels a bit weird to start with but if you just start talking, it quickly becomes second nature.
