American Idol 2009

I don't know if anyone else watches AI, odds are some do. Anyway I'm usually a fan of this, especially the early audition episodes. I love big oldies songs and being turned on to different types of music in general, so I figured lets put a discussion thread up see if it generates any interest.

Discuss, and link videos if possible.

I've got two heavy favorites right now, Stevie Wright and Danny Gokey (who looks eerily like Robert Downey, Jr.)

I stopped watching it after the first auditions and even earlier. Somehow watching people having there dreams smothered into dust dosen't appeal to me anymore.

Am I the only one that thought introducing a new host was a horrible idea?

I think the new judge is a ridiculously catty bitch. See bikini girl for reference. The only thing I can fathom is that they wanted her to be a female Simon, which failed miserably.
