Just that after playing Spy extensively and really burying myself knee-deep in whatever hints & tips there are and putting these into action has left me a bit disdainful towards the other "normal" classes. I mean I play the Medic from time to time, when I'm too tired or too lazy to bother with the endless mind games that the Spy consists of.
So I kind of feel more and more useless as a regular offensive or defensive class the more I play Spy and it's increasingly lame to play with these other classes when it's becoming easier and easier playing really well as the Spy.

Anyone else? =P

If you think that playing Spy is becoming boring because there is no challenge, play against better players. (TF2F servers maybe?).

Im not sure what a Normal class is to you, so i cant comment on that, but I would assume a normal class is the Scout, Soldier, Demo, Heavy and Medic, right? Sniper engi pyro and spy seem very more special and not needed but just as useful. I find myself often hating the role of these special classes because of crits doing the same thing with less skill, and less risk (ie. crit rocket = backstab (same effect; instant death) to many classes, but it happens from range, and the Soldier isnt risking his life). However they are often the more fun classes, and require different skills to the soldiers and demomen, which can be quite refreshing compared to the boom boom lifestyles of the Normal classes. Also I dont need to rely on a Medic as a Spy or Sniper.

Hey now, Demo is really strong, but not too many people complain badly about him for a reason.  He takes qutie a bit of skill to play effectively.  Sure, you can lay down a carpet of stickies and wait, but you're surely not going to be getting a ton of kills.

I sortof know what you mean Opex, I think you mean that playing Spy is so different than all the other classes that switching takes a bit of time to get used to.  If you play only Spy for a couple weeks then go to play Soldier there's probably going to be at least a small adjustment time.

Spy is great, I played him for a long time, but I prefer to be in peoples facing watching their bodies blow apart.  It really depends on your style.  If your much better at Spy and have fun playing him, you should just play him.

Yeah, that's exactly what i meant Malhavok.

Just that I feel a bit too restricted when I'm only comfortable playing one class, so I wind up changing mid-game to help out and do more damage than good.

And by "normal" classes i actually mean all other classes than the spy, heh.

Ever try playing the Heavy?  Needs little skill, but great for building up your understanding of how maps work.  Plus he's got a trick to learn!  {SPOILER ALERT: Jumping while revving. }

I think it depends on your mood and skill with a class, really. You just must really really like being the sneaky, stealth type. But if you feel like blowing crap up, you're liable to go Soldier or Demoman.

I kind of changed to a more normal class after playing spy for quite some time, because i felt useless as a spy. Even though i often ranked first place, you just don't get as many kills and destructions as a demo or solly.

There were also too many of them.

I'm still happy that i played him though, whenever my team needs a spy i can quickly switch for a second to get some sentry's or tele entrys or whatever out of the way. And i also notice that i almost never get backstabbed, probably because i kind of know how spys play.

i dont like to dwell on the spy too long, i usually use him to take out minor opposition and any sentry in my way of my goal and then when i die i switch to soldier or demo to keep any other sentries from going up
