Somthing that has been bothering me, and this is all my own personal opinion, is the differentiation between the two groups ... namely, the fact that when the chips are down, people talk about [TF2F] as being 'seperate' from {TF2F} ...

I know it's a matter of semantics, considering that we're all active participating members of the community, but I would like to think and talk about matters that don't specifictly involve competitive play as involving the two groups as the same clan.

It only stands to reason ... setting [TF2F] apart promotes a sense of 'elitism' ... intended or not ...

I am not suggesting any kind of change in the organizational structure, or in fact any kind of change ... just about how we think and talk about the two groups.

We are one clan ... we should act like it ... those wearing the different tag are simply members of a group for a specific purpose, but when it comes down to normal server play, we're all one clan and should act like one.

designate them as two different "teams" in the same clan, one team plays competitively, one team does not.

I thought that was what they were anyway.  They're both made up of people from here who want to play, just a little differently from each other.  (one's for "serious" leagues and stuff, and one is for more relaxed and "fun" [not necessarily more fun that the other one] games)  I've never felt any sense of elitism from [TF2F] members...but then again I don't play as much as Cypher does.

I've never felt any sense of elitism from the square bracket folk, so everything's been fine on my end.

Dago gives me the stink-eye once in a while, but he heals me up good, so I let it slide XD

In my opinion, we *are* all in the same clan, hence the use of the main tag "TF2F" with the only difference being the use of different brackets. We are all equal, being in one unit does not make you a better or lesser person, it just defines your play style and not your skill. It goes without saying that we all should respect each other regardless of bracketness(made that up).

With that said, the *only* separation between the two units would be the leadership and it's structure for obvious reasons.

I have also not seen any bad behavior out of anyone wearing the tags comp or comm.......actually it is nice to see a team of both tags against pubs on the server.....the cavalcade of ownage is spectacular

I do how ever think Phased should have to play as a scout from now on.......but if he is a spy I guess I can take him on my team.....

i hate being on a team opposite phased... insane spy to say the least... cold is another, i know that if he is playing i usually take the route least travelled lest i find a bullet in my skull from his sniper rifle...

but overall i have never seen any "elitist" attitude from people with either tag... andwe get some good games on ther servers when people from both sides of the tf2f community are there...

Bah, I still have no idea what the difference is between brackets and squiggles. Are brackets a Competitive thing?

brackets are competitive

i enjoy playing on a pub server with both comp and comm players! since i now know most of the competitive players, its fun to play with some other members of the community of whom i have not familiarized myself with

cypher, i really don't think its too big of an issue, at least not now (wait until money is involved, and corruption could ensue )  for me, i see the community clan as a more relaxed version of ours, but all in all, we are all active members promoting the same community
