Automatic Voice Input Selection

Hey TF2F.

I come to you with an odd problem.  When I play TF2, I prefer to use my Dell Vostro 1520's internal microphone.  It works perfectly fine.  But when I play TF2, it automatically switches to external microphone, even though i don't have one attached.  I can switch it back, and it will work for about one life.  But then it switches back to external.  Any ideas on what I can do?

try going to your control panel and then to sounds. go to the recording tab and right click on the microphone you want and choose to set it as the default.

I remember having a similar problem re TF2 switching mic inputs without prompting or whatever. Google your issue in relation to other source games, as I think it was on a CS:S forum that I found the console command I needed. Like forcevoiceinput 0 or something but I have noooo idea about that shit, so its obviously not that.
