I get really frustrated on 2Fort because i spend 5 mins getting into the other teams base trying to find a good teleporter spot and i build it and 15 seconds later BOOM its gone. I was just wonderin if you guys could give me a few tips for good places for teleporter exits in 2Fort.

Thanks.

In the enemy sewers is always a good spot. build it against the wall on the raised part and they never find it
plus it is really quick for your team to get from there to the enemy's base. Also just under the stair in there sewer.

Behind the desk in the enemy intel.
Protect it with a Level 3 sentry / Dispenser.
Works well if you can get another engie to do the same, but with reversed entry/exits to get back to your base, and a demoman to guard against anti-turret strikes
That leaves 9 players on your team. One or two should guard your teles (preferably another engie and a pyro) leaving 7 to take the enemy intel back to your base.
This doesnt work against good enemies, because they will just uber a pyro and destroy you and all you stand for.
But it works great on pubs, enemykeep dropping your intel in their intel room. Its funny.

But no, there arent really any good tele locations. Any good player will destroy it quicksmart.
If you are building their base, put it near the sentry/disp otherwise dont bother, the map isnt large enough to require expedited travel.

Wherever you didn't build it last time it was destroyed.

Let me see, at the top of the sewer exit, you can build it behind some boxes.

You can put it behind the desk in the intel room, tucked down the left-hand side.

But, personally, I like to put it in my OWN intel room.

Build up a sentry in the ramp room / courtyard. Put an entrance in a haypile. Put an exit and dispenser in your own basement. Then, when the uber comes for your sentry, take the tele quickly and you can get a lv3 up before they hit your intel room. Your chasing teammates should sandwich them between your gun and their rockets.

good plan. except I always end up taking the tele thinking it would get me inside their base, and having to hike back up the stairs. I do this repeatedly.

Yes, sintax, you have to repeatedly tell your team over voice comms "Don't take my teleporter, it leads to our own intel room." I do it about once every 5 mins, and every time I see someone take the tele in my tele info panel at the top left.

If there are a lot of enemy snipers, you can put a teleporter entrance on the right side of the battlement (when facing the enemy base) and the exit on the left side.  That way, unfortunate people who spawn there can quickly teleport over.  Also, a sniper can use it to teleport to the opposite side, pop out and kill the enemy sniper who doesn't realize there is a teleporter.

I usually put the teleporter right between the health and ammo upgrade in the friendly flag room and then alert the team that my tele goes down there.  This way, if a person sneaks by and grabs the flag I teleport where they will have to pass by...as opposed to teleporting into flag room and having to try and catch up to them.  Also, with it in an obvious place many enemies destroy it which alerts you to their presence.

All good suggestions above, and I also agree that it's tough to do anything very sneaky because there's only a handful of good spots and most people know them and check them.  Sometimes you can get away with having one on the grate overlooking the main entrance to the enemy base, if there's no one camping there, and sometimes putting one in the water near their sewer works well.  But on that map, really, if you can put an exit outside your own base and have it used more than twice you're doing really well.  It's just too easy to find them and destroy them... or worse, ambush your people as they port over.  I probably have the best luck with either the corner room in the enemy sewers or in the shallow water under their sewer stairs.  It's surprising how often people run right by it in that spot without noticing.
