Billiards (Final)

Welcome to Billiards, the new sports map for Team Fortress 2! It's a new twist on team ball-oriented game play. This is an actual game of billiards. Each team must shoot, hit, or blast their own color's balls into the pockets before the other team does the same. Don't fall into the pockets! Also, be cautious of the 8-ball... it looks a bit menacing...

NEW In Final Billiards!
Change Log:

- Entire map completely rebuilt from the ground up to improve on flawed mapping.
- A lot of lighting and visual improvements.
- Performance has greatly improved.

I would like to thank a few people for without whom this map would never happen.

Thanks to Hsnopi for helping me think to turn this from a generic CP map into an actual billiard game!
Thanks to Fishy for help with troubleshooting PakRat!
Thanks to Bud Doug Lee for getting me in the right direction for the scoring mechanism!
Thanks to Milky for helping me get started in mapping!
Thanks to EVERYONE who has helped test, give suggestions, and critique the map from

This looks pretty neat. This is the first I've seen of the map. I remember enjoying the TFC soccer map quite a bit. I will download this and try it out momentarily.

Okay, I don't have much experience with custom maps, so I'm not going to rate this fairly. It's awesome, you're awesome, you kick my ass regularly, and I like TF2F, so I'm giving it five stars. To be honest, I'm waffling between four and five on the basis that it deserves a five in my opinion but I don't know enough custom maps to rate objectively.

Basically, you deserve five stars, but what the hell do I know?

I played this solo for a couple minutes, and it was a lot of fun. The long fall distance seems to be modulated, since the medic fell and took 10 damage, and the scout fell - jumping at the last second - and took 12. This is weird but that's okay.

I love that you can attack the 8-ball so long as you don't touch it (as opposed to just having to hit it with other balls.) This seemed really dangerous/cool to me at first, until I realized that weapons other than melee work well (I started as a medic and needled it to little effect.) I can only imagine how a nice fully-charged sniper would hit, but I know I had fun rocketing all over the map with scattergun (awesome!) and baseball bat (surprisingly hard-hitting.) I would love to play on a big team and get a little ball of doom action going with me and another friendly scout.

If you get right next to a ball and look almost straight up when you fire, it does a nice jump shot. I didn't seem to have much success with using english, though.

Why aren't there any consequences for scratching the 8-ball? I even knocked in all but one of my team's balls and then scratched, to no ill reply. What suggestions would I have for such consequences? No idea. So don't take that criticism too harshly.

If anything I've said seems too harsh (I think you can probably handle it, you are BIG Lou after all,) I'm sorry - it wasn't intended to come off that way.

No way, Big lou, you made this? I never knew!

Played it in one of the recent PUGs, it is WAY cool and surprisingly fun. It makes you feel small... so very very small.... This map is very unique, I've never seen anything like it. A stroke of genius. Not only must you defend yourself, but you must put the balls in the pockets. And the 8 ball is a nice touch.

Overall, it's top notch.

This is amazing

Can you make a modified version with like 6 balls but they're all black so its very much a kill or be killed?
