Blut and Ubersaw Fix

We all can agree about how the Blut and Ubersaw is overpowered and is an upgrade and not a balanced change.  We all hope that Valve will fix it and with the upcoming Pyro update we might have a better chance.

An easy way to fix the blut is not to reduce the Rate of Fire, but to increase the length of the animation.  Imagine if the animation was the length of the spy's long backstab.  If it took that long to land a hit less people would probably use the ubersaw.


You could fix the blut by by making it have the same damage as the needler and every thing is exactly the same.  With a needler you crit and get massive damage.  With the blut you crit and instead of get 3 times the damage you get + 3-5 health.  The Blut and the Needler would be the exact same gun except when you crit with the Blut you get health instead of extra damage.  (And the blut does not heal you when it is not criting.)

ubersaw needs to do little to no damage, it shouldnt be an amazing weapon for the bonus it gives.

Blut needs a reduction in damage alot, it should be a weapon that lets you live a little bit longer, nothing to kill scouts/pyros with.

Because it will be months before all the other updates happen... and then we would have to wait a long time if they waited to fix everything at once for all 27 new weapons... might as well balance as it happens.

Eh.

I don't care that they're upgrades, TBH.  Medics are the first to die, and giving him a weapon to stay alive a little longer if your good with it is just what he needed.

The bonesaw is w.e.  Not many people have it, and it's not really that much of an upgrade, most people die trying to get that %25, and they could get that in like 40 seconds of healing.  Yeah, it's a pretty big upgrade, but all classes are gonna get them.

Changing the animation would be stupid. It is already fucking retarded that the backstab has that animation, it shouldn't be put on other weapons. I don't really care that they are upgrade either, but if you are going to nerf it at all don't mess up the animation. I don't really think you can balance the weapons without making them an upgrade. With your idea of the blutsauger, why would you ever use that? I would rather have damage crits so I can kill the person, then I don't need to worry about the 50 hp of healing. It would pretty much make the blutsauger useless, so it all depends which weapon you don't want people using.

I didn't mean the actual animation, I meant the length of the attack should be that long.

How about having the blutsauger and ubersaw the same as the existing weapons; but instead of doing more damage with crits they get their special bonus; as in blut crits give you health, and ubersaw crits give you uber.
