I'm putting together a new gaming rig, getting top notch future-proof technology, and I want it to run stable, cool, and safe. And I realize I have little experience with the parts most integral to this.
Need recommendations for the following:
PSU - 1000W or better... I'm running a 790i ultra mobo, will have an OC'd 2.66 GHz quad-core, a 9800GX2 vid card (with the intention of buying a second for quad SLI once prices drop a bit), and high-performance drives, RAM, etc. The PC is gonna draw many many watts at full load before I even drop a second video card in, so I want a PSU that's gonna hold up. Modular is preferable, and it needs at least 2 8-pin connectors for video cards
CPU heatsink/fan: I've heard various zalman heatsink/fan combos recommended, as well as arctic cooling and xigmatek... I have no clue which ones actually cool better after reading various contradictory reviews. Need to have a decent air-cooling solution that will allow me to push my proc as well as fit amongst the super-cramped chipset heatsinks on a 790i board. I've never used anything other than a stock cooler and settings on any builds I've done before, but with a rig this fancy, I want to take it to the limit.

So... any recommendations?
