***Incorrectly named thread; should be called "CP_Science"***

I love this map, very much.

...However, most of the time I see people play this map, I don't see too many players stick around, and those that do often do not know the layout.

I know my art isn't great, but for those who are curious about the map, yet do not wish to take the time to explore it, here's a basic design of the map:

============================================================================================================
(from the perspective of RED)

                                                                   [ReactorB]
                                                                  /____|____\
                                                                 /        |        \
                                                             [LR]---[Cata]---[LB]
                                                                \ ____ | ____ /
                                                                 \        |       /
                                                                   [ReactorR]

Key: Reactor B = BLU's final CP, indicated by a vertical laser beam symbol
        LR = Lightning Bolt #2, it's a double lightning bolt symbol, RED's 1st CP (may be referred to as generators)
        Cata = Catalyzer; the middle, neutral point, and hardest to keep
        LB = Lightning Bolt #1, it's a single

The more and more I read this, the more it looks like CP_Science.. o wait

I love Science, one of the few CP maps people will actually hang around to play for. Although now most regulars on our pub servers knows how to map works pretty well by now, and the push for the final cap can be frustrating to finish since the second cap(s) are easily recapped.

It really all comes down to the brawl in the middle at the beginning of the round. If you win, you have a good chance of being ahead of the other team for a large portion of the game. The momentum you get from killing the other team is staggering...

Science, oh yeah no wonder I couldn't find images of it... of someone could edit that name... >.<.

If anyone would be so kind as to either rename this post to Science, I would greatly appreciate it, otherwise I'll have to copy/paste it, and delete this to save face.

This and badlands are the only symmetrical cp maps worth playing in my opinion.  Well and (especially) granary are shamed by the awesomeness of cp_science.

I've played cp_Science so much cp_Science2 confuses me... mainly cause it's like the spawn area got flipped and rotated.. rest of the map is pretty much the same.  either way I love the map, just need to get used to the new version.

Haha, its funny playing the new version, seeing everybody run out of spawn and run towards the last CP and say WHAT THE HELL.

I must try this CP_Science2 and compare it. It sounds fun, and it would be interesting to see how the flow of the map is altered.

There are a few small medkits from what I remember... one of them is near a big one so meh... There is one behind one of the rocks near the shack with the big one outside, and another if you take the back way to get underneath the last point as an attacker.

Aw come on, you haven't noticed the medium healthpack behind the second CPs? In the indent of the wall outside the doorway of each base to the fields? I use that one all the time... Just because I know it will always be there since no one ever uses it.

Hah damn yeah... there's not enough fighting/flanking from out there but it's damn effective.
