Hey guys^^
Not really related to TF2, but since i know a load of good video-makers are present on these forums i thought i might have any luck here.

I´m using adobe premiere pro to make a vacation video, it´s about an hour long. My adobe screwed up, however, i managed to get it exported 1 time in mpg format if that makes sense. Now i have a 1.8G video which is playable and of good quality. I don´t think it´ll be possible to export it again so i'll have to do it with this file. After i get this done i´ll reinstall adobe or get vegas or something, i think that´s used a lot around here.

Now, i want to burn the video but i can´t do it. I tried a lot of things like using vdub on it and trying to burn it with different programs. I just can´t get it burned. Can you guys help me with this? Since i'm not an expert on the subject, to put it lightly, i'm not exactly sure what i need. I think i'll need a way to decode it to vidx and after that a way to burn vidx, without losing too much quality of course.

any help is appreciated If more information is needed i'll gladly post it.

Edit: I just downloaded a trial from the divx website and currently i'm converting the vid to divx, i'll update later.

1. what do you want to play the dvd in?

computer dvd rom disc?
a regular home dvd player?
both?

If you are familliar with premier you should have encore which is a handy dvd burning software.

it will encode your uncompressed video to mpg2 and put it on the dvd with a menu and everything.

Thanks for the reply DurbanPoison!
I really want to be able to play it in a regular home dvd player. I guess both bc/ i don't think playing it in a computer dvd player will be a problem then.

I indeed have encore, i remember trying it but i'm not sure what the results were, this is a project i haven't been working on for a while and i have to figure out a couple of things again.

I'm going to try it right away since the divx trial just gave up halfway giving an unknown error...

Edit: I found out my problem, adobe encore won't startup, it just shows the startup screen and then shows an error and dissapears.. Just my luck lol.

Thanks again for trying to help
I was still busy with the divx trial and somehow made it work, now i have an additional 400M .mkv file. Might be worth anything but besides the size i haven't got any luck with that one either.

I'm stuck searching for sonic dvd-it. I don't believe there's a trial for it and on torrent sites i can't find it.. Can you help me out there with a link maybe?

I'm also trying to burn it on another computer, takes crazy long and errors out often. Even if it finally works i'd still like and kind of need a good burning program

Sorry for the self-bumping.
I managed to burn one piece on another computer. I think it came out good, i have lost track how many time i spent in total just getting it from the final edited version to a playable dvd.. So i'm happy now In the end i used Pinaccle studio 8 to burn the 1.8G .mpg file on a DVD.

Thanks for the help, i'm going to search for a good editing program and a good burning program now bc/ i'm sick of this Any help here is still greatly appreciated
