Does the Kritzkrieg have any place in matches or is it doomed to be just for pub play?

Not really. A normal uber can save your ass so many times. That's not to say Kritzkrieg isn't useful, it's just too situational.

Kritzkrieg is really dependent on good communication, and knowledge of when to use it.

If your a Medic who's put some time into getting past it's learning curve, and you're on a team with good communication: it is a boon for ambushing, or rush support.

I use the Medi Gun more than the Kritz, but I do use the Kritz when attacking from afar. With a soldier for example.

Ive had the Kritz for a couple of game hours by now, and I havent gotten quite fully figured it out yet... except that it does seem to be most effective with a soldier or heavy on defense. I want to be good with it, but yeah it is very situational. Youre probably much more likely to find the krieg in pubs as opposed to matches for quite a while.

...well until all the classes get their new weapons

i think kritzkrieg works best for attacks NOT on sentries. Or maybe double charges. Invinceble heavy with 100% critical hit...

If you are with a good soldier on a semi-open map, you can cause chaos. I know Dish did when he kept critzing Frozen on Turbine

I always loved the possibility of a double medic effect, klitz and uber at the same time, wow.
