Concerts

Regail us with some of your favourite concert experiences.

Was their tome drunk slob or guy higher than a kite making a fool of himself? Was the sound so purely amazing nothing will ever live up to it?

For me, Alice in Chains has and always will be the pinnacle of sound live, even with William Duvall insead of Layne, it was just amazing, powerful, adjective, adjective.... (Though apparently Opeth and Between the Buried and Me are able to re-create every sound on the record flawlessy. Opeth's live stuff that I've heard is pretty amazing).

As a concert goer though, I fancy myself as someone who likes to be in the dead center of the mosh pit, whether it be at a metal show or a punk/ska concert; "Oh Yeah, I'm H-core!".

As of Date, the bands I've seen in the last few years:

My next outing will be on Dec.2 (long wait) for Metallica, where I'm on the floor. =)

Just saw TMBG this past Friday at the 1st Ave in Minneapolis.  They always put on a great show.

Tool had the best sounding concert ever.  I was blown away by how excellent it sounded.  Plus the laser show was cool.

I also saw the Gear Daddies at a rare reunion show last year.  That was pretty cool.

My favorite concert experience, however, was seeing Cinderella in a small hockey arena.  I was real close to the stage and they put on a great show.  Swinging guitars around, awesome solos.  It was great.

I've missed out on seeing Tool on 3 occasions.
They are one of my favourite bands and probably within my top 5 as "Must see."

My favorite concert experiences;
- Seeing Mastodon and Converge live and meeting my current girlfriend at said concert
- Seeing Pelican and Mono live at a hole in the wall venue in Miami called Churchill's and being semi-deaf for two weeks afterward
- Seeing Fatlip from the Pharcyde live at Emo's in Austin

My fav was getting to see alexisonfire, moneen, boys night out, and underoath for free at a sold out show at the Opera House in downtown Toronto.

I showed up with my friend hoping to scalp a ticket cuz i didnt have one. But the show was SO sold out even the scalpers didnt have tix.
Anyway, i tried my best to help underoath move their equipment in, and they actually let me... And then i told them i didnt have a ticket and they put me on the guest list...and the guest list was crrrrrazy long. crazy.

anyway that was one of the sicket shows ever cuz just about everyone in the bands stage dove and it was a small venue so I got to carry some of my fav musicians from the time.

I also saw the pixies live once. Killer.

Well, I simply can't count how many concerts I've been to but Im sure its around 200 or more. My most favourite ones are Radiohead, Woven Hand, Nick Cave, eh, too many to remember.

Sish, looks like Ive been lazy to the site nowadays because I missed noticing your staff badge. Congrats on that.
