Now I know on some maps that have a huge wide open area, when someone starts an uber, you might manage to stack a set on one spot and launch one way out of range of the medic.  But is there a way to stop ubers in tightly packed areas such as the hallwas to intel in 2fort?  Seems like thats usually the main way that people are able to break into the intel room and I thought any input on countering this besides praying that a sentry wall of bullets would be greatly appreciated.

My favorite tactic in smaller enclosed areas on defense maps (dustbowl etc.) when the other team is ubering your way is to counter uber and simply block their path.  If they can't get past you they can't do any damage to your engy's.  It's simply more beneficial for the defending team to use the uber in this manner as it wastes the offensive push and allows your defense to stay mostly intact and away from danger.  Even as a heavy w/ no uber I'll try to do the same and last as long as I can (which isn't long).

My favorite uber-breaker is the "SAY GOODBYE TA YAR PRECIOUS MEDIC, LAD" method. if i expect an uber to come over a specific path (bridge at dustbowl cap 6, then i just spam mines in the center and when the first one (non medic) has passed them i detonate. catapults the ubee twards us and the uberer far backwards!

Well, since an Uber'd person can't really do anything other than shoot and move... What I usually do is run away and prepare.  The uber might last just long enough that you can organize some sort of team to attack as soon as the uber wears off or to defend when the medic/whatever teams comes back that direction.  Of course, that's with the assumption that the Medic and uberee are just standing there, waiting for the uber to wind down.

Set a trap in an enclosed area, for example, on the ceiling of the intel corridors in 2fort. When the uber'd team comes running down, blow up the stickies while the medic is behind them and the medic buddy is in front, they will both get blown in opposite directions.. bye bye medic buddy

my favorite is to juggle the opponent or firing rockets at the enemy's feet and making them fly to waste their uber, that works and it happens when i am playing as a heavy and getting ubered.

I find that using rockets to juggle people away from their medics aint the greatest idea so i use the good ol Demoman for the job where i just wait for the medic to pass by my mines ahead of time and when he does, ill send him flying which sometimes leads them to SGs where they get stuck with their uber being used for nothing.  Unless of course there is no SG to do that you do it anyway so they go flying and your watching them in awe and you and your team go OMG OMG OMG RUN AWAYYY THEIR FLYING TOWARDS US!

Actually had a demo juggle me when ubered before.  Unfortunatly it was right at the start of the uber and the medic managed to keep me ubered.  Unfortunatly for the Demo all he had managed in doing was rocketing me (and my big nasty flamethrower) right to him and the sentry gun I was trying to kill.  I've seen demo's break ubers before but you have to make sure you blast the uber the right way othewise you could have a big nasty sod coming right down on your head.
