Criticsm of the New Backstab

This post on the steam forums sums up the new spy backstab change quite well and provides ideas for reasonable fixes.

So all they are about is stabbing someone in the back? Thats it? Then why name them beyond Backstabs?

Some Spies can be as hard headed as some of us Pyros, if not more. Really, deal with the changes, now the class takes some skill, before it didn't.


Seriously, one of the best written completely retarded pieces of trash I've read recently. Just because it looks pretty doesn't make it correct or logical.

Somebody used that thread against me as proof that new stabs are a nerf, as if he were a catholic using the bible.

I hate people who call spy the trick class.

I think the nerfs outway the buffs :/

I like it, spy was boring me at under 100 hours of play, and now on the rare occasion I play the class I title as my main, I enjoy it 10 fold.

EDIT: Not really boring, I still had fun with it, but it just wasn't as challenging as it was when I started playing it, I lost a bit of love for it. Now I got some of that love back.

A Spy is not Bruce Lee and im happy that these glitches got removed.

Umm, am I the only one who is still able to get flickstabs/stairstabs etc.? 

The only changes made to the backstab were: 1) Animation always plays upon a backstab (although not on the tf2f servers for some reason). 2) Narrowing of the "back hitbox".  3) The knife, unlike other melee weapons, attacks instantly (no time lag between clicking and landing the hit)

So yeah, you can't click and THEN turn to flickstab/stairstab.  You have to turn and then click.
