Critique My Server Settings Please

I know its pretty basic, but I would like to see if I could make it better

24 man with no reserved slots

No Mods

HlstatsX

RTV

30 min rounds

Default respawn time

Beetlesmod and Sourcemod

I am having the most trouble with my map rotation. Currently it is

Badwater
Labor
Impact2
Goldrush
Gravelpit


I am thinking of having the map rotation follow the current CAL season but I havent fully commited to the idea just yet.

Well, first you said no mods.  Then listed 2 mods and a feature and requires a mod.
Why would you run both BM and SM?  They both do the same thing, running both is just asking for problems.

If you want to run with no mods, but still want some of the features offered by mods (such as RTV and admin rights) then SM is probably a bit more "pure."  It should probably be easy to only enable the features that you needed.

Do you already have the servers configured?

I have Sourcemod for Hlstats and, I have Beetlesmod for admin controls and RTV ( I had Beetlesmod before getting Hlstats and I have them working in harmony currently). 

I meant that I had no mods that alter gameplay (fast respawn, roll the dice, low grav, etc).

The server is up and currently running.

BM works with HLstatsX as well.  You might want to try that.

I like most of those rules...24 people, no reserve. regular respawn. I may check it out sometime

Just out of curiosity, why is there such a hatred of crits. Also wont disabling crits make the axstinguisher completely useless?

1. Crits is a luck based mechanic. People here prefer having it less luck and more skill.
2. Even if you turn crits off, things that gurantee crits like the backstabs and headshots still crit. Turning off crits only turns off random crits.

Awesome as long as things like axtiguisher and backstab work as they are supposed to i really have no problem turning off crits.

tf_crits 0 is the right cfg, correct?

Crits are random luck. I've joined a server, and my first 4 rockets were crts. Did I earn that? Hell no but it was fucking sweet. That's why crits exist, for those "fucking sweet" moments. But for one persons fucking sweet, 4 others get frustrated, so overall, everyone loses. It's better to just turn them off and let people win with skill. It encourages teamwork, and ever since the Kritz started working with crits disabled, the only reason you'd want crits on is if you're silly.
