Was wondering what you guys think. Which one is better for a demoman on offense. The good ol'faithful ubber or the new critgun? I, for one find the ubber much more usefull as a demoman but i've used with succes the critgun on maps such as dustbowl where chockpoints tend to happen.

Good old ubber I always say, at least if there's sentrys. The Kruber would better be given to a soldier or Heavy if it's just people.

It all comes down to tactics and the situation IMO.

Kritz: Awesome for suppressive fire; this makes the pipe launcher SOOO much better, but as anyone here can tell you, nothing screams "kill me" like a critzkrieg. Being able to spread a large carpet of stickes to use later is also very useful.

Good ol' Uber: Still the best option for killing sentry nests and breaking bottlenecks.

IMHO Crits are better for defense than offense, and Uber is still golden for both.

Well i play PC, but i m european and i don't think i match timezones, plus i have a horrible lag on American servers because i live in the east. But i ll give it a try to see how it works.

I totally go with the uber. From my experience (completed my 100th demoman hour yesterday) there barely is anything better to destroy a sentry nest. Uh, this needs its very own thread! time for me to post something of value again

Hey, Narcotic - welcome to the site! I live in England, and my ping's ok to the US servers - usually around the 190 mark, which seems pretty playable.

Well i live in Romania so it's kinda far away , my average ping on an American servers excedes 200, but not more then 250. Have to give it a try when i come from work today.

A Demoman is possibly the best Kritzkrieg user. The Soldier's strength is his mobility through rocket jumping, not his raw firepower, because a Demoman's Sticky clip is double the Rocket Launcher's. Everyone will die before they can touch the Demo. Nonetheless, a crit uber is worthless when Sentry Guns are up, so clear the area before you go in.
