Digital Overload!

Hey everyone. I'm sure some of you are familiar with the ctrl-alt-del webcomic. They have a very cool LAN convention thing every year, and this year (among the other sweet gaming goodness) they're hosting a TF2 tournament.

It's 6 vs. 6 on control point maps. The cool part is, the guy who runs ctrl-alt-del has made it his goal to have all tourneys at DO be mostly "for fun." Which is exactly what the squigglies are about.

There are prizes, but its nothing like major competitive big cash prizes or anything.

Check it out. Its in Rhode Island, which is clear across the country for me, but if I could find a team, I totally would save up to go (plus there's other sweet stuff- mostly 48 hours of freeform gaming, both PC and console, and even table top games!)

It is BYOC (bring your own comp). But it sounds like fun.

I'm actually a big fan of the comic, and would seriously like to attend this one of these years. However, I don't see myself being able to get down there, which sucks. A TF2 tourney sounds like tons of fun. I certainly hope whoever goes, has a blast and represents TF2F with a good performance.

I would LOVE to attend, but there is literally zero chance of me being able to make it (unless someone wants to cover my airfare and travel expenses).

theres a chance id be able to make it being only a couple hours away, but im not sure how up to it me madre would be =(
