Does Anyone Actually Pay Attention to the Leaderboards?

I was just curious.  I've looked at my personal stats, but I've never really got around to seeing how I stacked up to other players in TF2.  Anyone else like that, or am I jusst weird?

As I understand it the closer you get to the top the more rank boosters you find.  I have looked at mine but not for a long while, it's not a realistic reflection of how you play.

yeah the xbox stats board is crap! totally inacurate! im way down at 20,000 something, when there are people with less kills than me way up higher! it really annoys me!

Bless yourself with your crappy leaderbords. The PS3 got even crappier leaderbords, divided into divisions (nobody knows why you're in a particular division) and you can rise or fall on the leaderbord when you don't even know you had a good game. I still don't know if my position is bad or good. (I'm division 2, ranking 43). Yours at least make SOME sense.

I pay attention to the hlstatsx thing for the tf2f servers... I don't really care about the points (which is good because I havent seen them change in quite some time)

I like to see my improvement
My goals: increase kills per death and kills per minute, and maintain overall effectiveness of the team
the first two are easy to see (since I started watching a little while ago I've seen kpd increase from ~1.7 to 2 and kpm from .7 to .94)

The last goal is harder to watch, since it is very easy to slip into the mindset of playing purely defensively.
I judge this based on things like:
Did I help on offense? Did I destroy/help destroy key buildings? Did I help capture any points or flags? Did I help defend important things? Did I communicate? Where exactly did helter go after he killed me?

I only worry about the awards...kd is fine. but awards showed that I WAS THE BEST FOR THE DAY!

I don't play enough in any given day to get an award... except that time we did a brief melee only game and I was a pyro

I simply meant that I don't play enough get daily awards.

does the xbox version have daily awards like they do on the tf2f servers?

No, daily awards, although I've made some up for myself.

Today I got the, "Didn't ignore the crying baby" AND "Remebered to go to the bathroom".  A TWO-FER!  I'm ranked number 3 in my house, although I think my wife is boosting.
