Does anyone pick the Syringe Gun?

The Blusauger was horrible designed, in my opinion, as it is in no way balanced at all in comparison to the Syringe. Seriously, does a single player here choose the Syringe, after unlocking the Blut? I doubt it

On the same note, what could be changed to the Blutsauger to make it more balanced?
I say to hell with no crits, and just lower the power, so it actually does what it is supposed to...help the Medic in his survival.

My 2cents, what do you guys think?

I think it should just be reduced to 2 health instead of 3, although nerfing damage significantly would also be ok with me, i just don't want to meet a medic, scatter him twice in the chest, and then die because he healed between scatter 1 and scatter 2. (in a vent or something where we aren't dodging), that annoys me to no end.

Yeah this gun has no drawbacks on the TF2F servers since there are no random crits anyways. It is not like random crits is what made the standard syringe gun a great weapon anyways.

Lower damage output through lower damage per syringe or slower rate of fire would be a drawback to consider. I'm in favour of slower rate of fire and with a different sound effect so it would feel like the gun is more of a tool than a weapon.

Thats what I suggested. Oh, and to Sufyan, a slowerd rate of fire would be interesting, but I think a more simple alternative like lower damage may be better.

yeah the problem with slower rate of fire is that it makes it hard to hit with the gun, typically the medic's in panic mode already if he has his gun out, and that'd just make it worse. the plus side would be that standing directly in front of the medic in a vent shooting him wouldn't be insta-death

Bluts fine as is, hitting more and more needles is a skill to work on.

Helps the medic defend himself better, the needlegun didn't as well.

Upgraded the medic as a class without any direct class changes.

Oh, and no.. no on picks it, heh.

Well, if its purpose was to upgrade the medic as a class, then how about buffing the syringe gun to achieve what the TC wanted?
