So Any1 else get this game?
It is Bioware's new game. If you liked Baldur's Gate 2 / KOTOR / Mass Effect you'll like this. It is more complex and FAR larger than both KOTOR and ME but has a similar sort of feel. It's pretty hard, and ginormous. At least Baldur's Gate 2 size, most reviewers were saying you could BLOW through the story in forty hours, and complete playthroughs were more like 70.

I have mostly just started, in the second of two smaller hubs before I go off onto in the main quest areas.

If you like Giant Fantasy RPGs with Lots of Dialogue and Tough Fights and large customization (more than KOTOR and ME) and tons and tons of blood, so far I highly recommend it. It does feel similar to Baldur's Gate 2, and I dont think fans of those games would be disppointed. you have total control of your full party, it's a 4person party RPG pretty much the whole way, which is a solid step up from 3 in complexity.

The PC Versions smoke the console versions (with the ps3 beating the 360 due to better gfx), so keep that in mind. The whole interface is top notch and the game really just oozes quality. The graphics aren't completely bleeding edge, but the design is artful and the textures are pretty and it runs VERY VERY well on my E5200 / 8600 set up. Even with graphics options turned up a bit, with pretty decent draw distance and some AA it runs quite nicely. I can rarely put AA on in other games without too much slowdown for my liking.

Also there are issues with NVIDIA cards to some degree and I had to downgrade drivers and it SEEMS they have stopped 4 now.

This is (from what I've played and what reviews have said) One of the largest and most complex western-style RPGs in a long time.

None of the press stuff really sold this game to me, it was all too goofy. This is classic, intense, complex Fantasy RPG stuff in the vein of old.

I've only played like 45 minutes and haven't seen any combat whatsoever, but the dialogue is great so far. At least for female dwarf noble

Just picked up the 360 version yesterday so I haven't really had time to get in any serious play time. Aside from a few frame-rate problems during some of the dialogue its played really well.

I'm very interested in this game, though I prefer console myself. If you can wait a few weeks, apparently you can get this for 20 bucks off (PS3 or Xbox 360) over Black Friday:

Check it out. There's some other sweet titles on there as well, like Forza 3

The combat's pretty much like Baldur's Gate. A bit less character customization than in the Neverwinter Nights games, but you have 4 characters so you'll still be spending hours making sure every skill point is where you want it. My only complaint of the game so far is subpar and rigid camera angles/controls.

The game's pretty much what Neverwinter Nights 2 should have been, imo.

As is often the case with RPGs, the main story is (so far) not super-interesting, but there's other things going on that are holding my interest. Choose Dwarf Noble as your origin and enjoy dwarven political intrigue and lolerskates.

I'd recommend getting it on PC.

Never played baldurs gate or kotor

well not enough to have an opinion on them anyway

I just don't see why they didn't make it like, say... Final Fantasy (full turn based) or..... TES (full real time). Not half half. And it looks slowwwww.

Ah well, if the character customisation kicks ass i might look into it.

If I want dialogue and only dialogue I'll play something like Day of the Tentacle or Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantas
