First off, I have no idea how players exploit the PS3 game but I was told that when I see sentries floating in the air that an exploit has occurred.

I'm very curious how others feel when players do these exploits?  I find it very frustrating to jump on a transport only to find myself caged in (out of bounds) unable to help my team or when I get killed by someone floating over my head.

thanks,
goodnz

I feel great when my team loses a winning streak because an engy built a floating sentry above our spawn.

Of course the exploits are bad. Thats not the way the game is supposed to be played.

Exploits = cheating

If it's happening on a server, I leave the server.  Simple as that.  If everyone else followed suit, the cheater won't be finding a lot of games to play.

Ive said it before and I'll say it again....  Glitchers are douchebags because they ruin the game for those of us who like to play the game as it was meant to be played.. They need to be patched out of existence, but with the lack of support from valve...

Thanks for your replies.  Everytime I see an exploit, I instantly leave the game.

Here's another thing I saw yesterday - two engineers kept building right outside the spawn exit on dustbowl.  Tactically, I see no advantage.  All it was doing was tying up resources and making it hard to get through.  I guess these guys were actually "playing" for the other team.  Once I realized that these idiots were doing it on purpose, I left the game.

Blu Spy in spawn? More like, have a good time Red team!

But really, exploits are probably the worst part of the game.

Goodnz --- I think that last example isn't an exploit but people trying to grief.  Another form of griefing are the people who jump up in the second spawn area of well so you can't get out.  Still another are medics purposely healing and ubering spies from another team.  Most of these people can't play well but they learned some exploit on the web and so they take their frustration out on other players.  Most exploits and griefers have minimal impact to the game as there are always ways around.   In fact, the skywalkers in dustbowl often force a team to (my gosh!) work together and focus all forces on a single point of entry rather than freelancing your way to a control point or grinding your way through teleport-shoot-die-teleport cycles.

Exploits are almost always bad, I say almost because rocket jumping was an exploit at one time.
