GA Buys A Phone

So I'm choosing a phone from Sprint and I'm leaning between these 4 phones

The Samsung Intrepid

The HTC Hero (G2 Android)

HTC Touch Pro or Pro 2


I'm leaning toward the HTC Hero, but wanted more opinions that I couldn't find from my mostly non-tech friends. If you have any of these phones, I would love to heard what you think of them. Those that don't have the phone slisted, which one would you get and why. I'll be buying the phone on Friday after hearing your opinions and following my leanings.

I heard the hero has like the slowest web browser ever/ is slow in general (check out the engadget review before you buy this)

the pro 2 is supposed to be hot but i didnt know it was out?

personally im dying for the BB Storm II cuz...ahamagad. You tube the inaction videos cuz its pretty pimp (dont bother with walt mossbergnothing cuz his vid is teh lamez)
Ill be dumping an entire weeks paycheck on one of these whenever it comes to my carrier in HSPA+ (instead of the EVDO version)

The Hero seems to be the big popular one. I played around with one for half an hour or so probably (oops) and for me:

Cons: I can't do touchscreen keyboards, bit of lag/slowdown a couple of times (mainly when dialing a number or certain screen orientation changes), doesn't automatically close apps not being used

Pros: It was effing cool. Multi-touch, web browser with easy to swap tab-like windows.

I've been looking at getting a new Android phone too and decided to hold off a bit. On the 1st the Samsung Moment comes to Sprint, 800 mhz proc compared to the others..650 I think? And has a keyboard. 1 ghz procs are coming soon, one unveiled in the UK so far, and v2.0 of Android will be out soonish too. I know new stuff is ALWAYS coming out, but I think it's at a point where (personally) I'd be much happier switching over from a plainish older phone into the new gen with the next batch that come, hopefully eliminating all slowdowns and a more robust software side.

how does one learn between and towards phones?

I would wait for the BB Storm 2 (i've heard good things about it). Just need a phone now. How much is gonna be unlocked, I might get it down the line.

The samsung  is like my 4th choice....I just don't like the look of the phone at all.

I got to play with the hero today and the web browser was fast. the Tmobile version of the phone seemed to be slow but I guess the new Rom update fixed that. Not quite sure about it.

I'd stay away from the Android, my friend has one and according to her its a worthless iClone

Nix on the BB Storm...its GSM only and I'm not sticking with T-mobile past this month or moving to any of the GSM carriers (no AT&HEAVE)
