GTA IV for PC

Was revieled in a closed doors press conference at GC. Any thoughts? I for one can't wait to see all the console kids cry when we have extra features :]

It's been known about for a month or so now.  I'm looking forward to it.  I'm hoping it plays well on PC... the other GTA games never seemed to play well

From what I've heard it's amazing. They had a playable version at the press conference and i saw a little footage of it but i don't remember where :/

I hope it plays well.  The problem is that console games that are ported over to PC rarely play well.  Merc 2 is a GREAT example.  The game is 100% crap on PC.  Now that's party because the game is bad... but it also has to do with a bad port.  Very upsetting.  GTA:SA played alright on PC but still had some problems where the game forgot it was on PC and wanted you to move around menus and select things with your keyboard and not your fully functional mouse.

I know what you mean, I think the entire NFS series is total crap on the pc regardless of how much prettier it is. I hope RockStar realizes how big of a potential screw up this is. I think the online play will end up being all mods and crappy gameplay. I still have hope for the single player though.

GTA ports have traditionally been very very well done IMO.
I've played em all on the PC.

I've only played the GTA series on the PC and I'm looking forward to this release as well. I can safely say that this is the only game that would warrant my not playing TF2 for a while.

ya i dont own a fancy next gen console (still love my ps2 even if its been collecting dust next to my tv for months) so this is the only game ive ever waited to own for pc. im not much of a gamer (only thing i play is tf2) but i actually want to play this
