I picked this up yesterday and I must say, I am impressed. It is much better than the first. Far more cinematic, and it actually has a backstory now. The characters also seem to have their own backstories and actual feelings and personalities this time around, it's just one hell of an improvement. The gameplay is just as good as the original, I love this game so far. Any other opinions.

I picked it up, played some coop with a friend for 1 minute and then...............my xbox bricks. Awesome.

i got the terrifying "3 red lights" just a few days ago..

got the padded box in yesterday..

And just when Fallout 3, Fable 2, Mirror's Edge, Gears 2, FarCry 2, L4D, etc etc. come out.... this happens..


sooooooo lame..


Thank God i have an abundance of games for PC.. including TF2

I ordered the game on Amazon Thursday night with 2-day shipping.


It's Wednesday. It's still not here.
Fail Amazon. Fail.

Anyway, I love the game. I played it a friend's house and had a blast. It fixed the main gripes I had with the original GoW which made me stop playing it. I'm awaiting the game with giddy anticipation.

I've been playing, and I'm IMMERSED in the game.  There are few games that have actually made me want to stop playing because of how Epic the story line is, but also made me want to not stop playing until I'm done.

I'm in the worm right now.

Given the amount of time I spent on Gears 1, especially online (No ranked games, I can't stand people who only play for achievements) I will definitely pick this up some time in the future when I can afford it. Yes, unemployment does shift your priorities a little =(

But I beat the entire campaign, tried out the horde (And loved it) then returned the game due to SLOW AS HELL matchmaking,

Look. best way to hide spoilers is to put in text with a highlight of the same color.

THe whole spacing out thing doesn't work because you don't know when it's going to end or when the next post begins. :-D
