Greetings.

I've been looking for a tf2 community to settle into. I thought I'd give this one a try.

I picked this game up about 6 months ago and was playing it off and on until I really got into it about 6 weeks ago. I enjoy the game a lot, it's much more humorous and corny then other shooters that try to take themselves way too seriously.  As a TF2 player, I am not great. I'm not terrible, either, but I've been told that not having years of experience at games like Counterstrike is disadvantageous. Up until about 18 months ago, I'd been playing games like WoW a lot. Don't get into WoW, you'll regret it.

I've been trying to settle into a group for a while now and I've met some decent players. But I notice that servers I've visited in the past heavily favor 2fort which is a map I'm very sick of playing on. Also they attract some real bad players who never contribute to the team effort. Well, I certainly hope that I can make some friends here and work on my game.

A little about me.

I'm from the L.A. area, I work a crappy night shift job and I live with family.
My favorite classes are Pyro, Sniper and Demoman. Though I seem to be more effective with Heavy, Medic and Engineer.
I have a mic, and I will use it. But I'm not overly talkative, which I probably should be in this game.
I have one hat so far, not counting the Gibus, the Halo and the Halloween bag.

Every night at 11:30pm est, we do a pick up game, where teams of 6 or so are picked by captains. Its a more organized way of playing. The server info can be found in vent (which is needed to play)

it depends on how you played counter strike...if you were just a pubber it wont help much except for familiarity with the controls but if you played it seriously you should have better communication skills and possible better reflexes.

i personally think that css helped me in pc games in general.
