After playing as the Scout on the 360 version for quite some time, I never found them to be very effective. I could hardly hit anything moving at such speeds and in such random patters.

I just bought the PC version today, and if I may say so, HOLY. SHIT.

I was getting kill after kill, taking on Soldiers, Demomen, and even Pyros at close range. It was incredible.

If you've read this far, then I guess you're wondering what the hell I'm getting to.
Well here it is: TF2 PC vets, I dare you to try out the 360 version and try and do half as well as you normally do. Yea, I thought so.

On the Xbox, scouts are terribad usually. There is just not enough control to warrant playing with one. But pyros are GOD on the consoles.

On the PC, pyros suck and scouts are actually decent.

Really? I find that the ever-present bad lag in the 360 version (it's like having over 100 ping on even the best match) makes the Pyro very difficult to kill with because you have to get much closer.

I did so well with the Pyro today on the PC version. Why? Because two things: First, the sizzle lets me know exactly where the sweet spot is for roasting my enemies, and two, becuase the flamer has almost twice the range of that on the 360 version.

:| Actually there's plenty of control for scouts, and pyros get roflpwned by most classes. Yes this is on the Xbox.. *Sigh*, man it really is tiresome to see these "Gonna blame the controller for my in-accuracy"

As for you Assisted you just have to find someone with a good host, try looking on the xbox.com Orange Box forums for a list.

Regardless, the 360 version is like 7 patches behind the PC version, with no new content (i.e., maps that were given the the PC players free of charge months ago), and no custom maps or anything. And the joystick isn't back for aiming normally, but when moving at Scout speeds trying to hit a moving target while jumping erratically is frigging difficult.

Oh, and FIVE PING on 22 player server.

360 version can't even dream of that.

Ok? Then play on the PC I don't care. I know plenty of players on the 360 that can aim just fine with a scout. My beef is when people try to blame their aiming problems on the controller. Regardless if it's a PC player going to 360 or 360 player going to PC they aren't going to do their best because they aren't familiar with the controls. If you want to bring up all that * about PC being better, even though it doesn't really disprove my point, then go ahead. It just seems a bit silly bringing that up when my point was that it's perfectly possible to aim as a scout on the 360.

Quit Pyro slamming VC.  Pyros are very useful compared to other classes in many situations.  They just don't rack up the points.

To say that Scouts are difficult to control with gamepads is personal opinion and PC fanboyism at worst. :/

The mouse and keyboard still wins though, but let's not get into that discussion.

You're never going to be able to get the aim you need with a joystick....

Playing a Source game with an XBOX 360 controller would be like walking into my favorite nightclub, making my way out to the dancefloor, pulling my pants down and then taking a nice huge giant steaming dump.  Replacing a PC gamer's mouse and keyboard with those dual analogs and that disturbing silver/green eye would be like breaking his thumbs.
