Has Garry's Mod ever destroyed anyone else's computer?

When I first got Garry's Mod I loved it but after a week or 2 my computer wouldn't turn on, I got a blue screen error and the computer triedto start again. I had to clear the hard drive and re-install everything. This happened to me 5 times and only occured when downloaded Garry's Mod off of Steam. I would love to play this game/mod again so does anyone know how to avoid it crashing the computer to the point of no return?

I doubt this is your issue, I had something like this happen before and I thought it was the drivers are first or my game but in the end I figured it out that it was really a stick of RAM went back.  Start pulling out sticks and see if the problem goes away.

yeah games dont cause computers to not work..... specially well known ones.....
