Help, i have wasted money

I have bought tf2, and steam and i am having trouble playing it. It is almost as though it waits a certain time after trying to join a server, then auto freezes. Any ideas to help? plz?

Are you trying to play on a laptop or an integrated video card?  If you are, then no one can help you.

im on laptop, but it doesnt work on computor either

Since you paid money for this game, part of the package is that professional technical support people will help you resolve problems like this.

Open Steam. Click the "View" menu, then "Support". Look for your issue in there. If you don't see it, click the blue link towards the top left marked "Contact Support".

You say it freezes, are you sure you're just not letting it load all the way?

Does your computer meet the minimum technical requirements of the game? Sounds to me you're either being impatient or you need a graphics card or ram upgrade. You seem to have no other issue than speed.

Try creating your own server (from the menu "create a server") and see how well it runs.

If you post your computers (aka "desktop") and your laptops specs we'd be able to help you a little more.

How long are you waiting? I run TF2 on a fairly crappy laptop just fine, though it takes a few minutes to connect to servers.
