Help Me Build a Computer Please

My computer is fucked beyond all repair and I want to build a new one

I've never built my own computer, but from what I've heard it isn't too difficult. What will I need in addition to the parts? Will I need screws, as well as heating gel for the motherboard's fan?

Also, I have no idea where to start when it comes to parts

I'm willing to spend some money but don't want to spend too much (a bit tight on cash atm) Leaving something like the graphics card with room to upgrade in the future is okay

The computer will be primarily for gaming.

What's your budget? You won't need screws, only a screwdriver and that's it. It's as simple as assembling legos with some esoteric pieces.

You won't need heating gel, the CPU stock fan will come with one. You do need;

A mother board;
A CPU;
A GPU;
RAM;
A powersupply;
A case.

My budget is a few hundred dollars. Leaving room for upgrades in the future is fine

So it the parts come with screws?

You're probably right, but I'd rather just get a new one at this point. I was almost certain it was the motherboard, got a replacement sent to me, and no luck. Tried switching out the power supply, the graphics card, making sure everythings in place. No luck. My only alternative at this point would be to take it to a tech support place like Geek Squad (whom I've heard bad things about), but by the time I'm done with that (whether or not anything gets fixed) I'd cover half the expenses to a new one

Well, you could also talk to some tech friend, better than Geek Squad IMO.

Although, getting a new computer is also a nice solution.

Trust me, I'm just playing devil's advocate.  I'm not saying not to get a new one.

I hope things work out for you... I'd make a list myself, but it seems that others have already made nice enough ones.
