Help me with my idea please!

I've mapped for other games and done almost no coding. I've never modded for a source game so please help me!


Okay lets say I have no idea what I'm doing(which is pretty much the case) and I want to make a little mod where when you spawn your view is in third-person, now you can switch your view to 3rd person by typing thirdperson in the console. BUT how do you make that happen when you spawn?

Second this might be VERY hard to make or it might not but here goes nothing, lets say I want to make a mini mod where when I point my crosshair at a desired location and press a button, or type in a command in the console it spawns a static object, such as a box.

I hope someone can help me with these, I just want to start getting familiar with modding for TF2.

I realise the second idea is probaly a hard one to answer, but could somebody atleast answer the first one? How I would make something where when I go in game I'm automaticly in thirdperson?

Yeah, I know about Garrys mod, but I'm asking if anybody would know how to place TF2 static objects without GMOD

I'm pretty sure it's possible with a sourcemod plugins. (both questions)

To spawn things sv cheats would have to be on, at least to my knowledge.

And to spawn in 3rd person... don't know about that, but you could easily bind it to a key. For instance,

bind (whatever command you use for 3rd person) (whatever key you want.)

example:

bind o explode

So now whenever I press o, I explode. You can do the same thing with the 3rd person command.
