Help with HL@ Episode II

I purchased the Orange box and let it sit for a while, when I got around to installing and playing, Episode 1 works fine, Episode 2 is so slow as to make it unplayable.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks for any help or suggestions. 

Episode two does use more, as the graphics are better. Have you tried turning the settings or resolution down? If that is not the problem i dont know what is.
