Hey everyone, I'm new to TF2, just got it today off of steam.  Gotta say, I like it but I'm not that great at it.  If anyone wants to play sometime, maybe show me some tricks of the trade that would be much appreciated.  Well just wanted to say hi and that I'm very excited to be a part of this community.

Thanks for all the info!  I have vent, but no mic yet   should get one when i get payed on thursday though.  When do the pick up games start?  My hours at work are pretty lame, usually 5pm - as late as 2 30 am... but i do usually get thursday and friday off.

It's generally a good idea to get better before playing the pugs. They tend to be kinda serious. Play on our servers for a while and see how you compete against the {TF2F} guys. Not saying you need to beat them, but if you can keep up somewhat, then pug away.

Yeah, if you're just getting in it'd be a good idea to figure out all the classes and gameplay before trying for a pug. That being said, medic is a bad beginner class in pugs simply because you get raped in the ears by people screaming at you if you fuck up. Just play in the servers and if you do well or even decently feel free to pug it up.
