How are the pyro's going?

Yeah I've been away from TF2 since the pyro update when the BB were pure ownage and there were like 5 pyros in each team, that was so... awful for ppl who play as spy

but now I'm coming back to TF2 planning to make some videos and maybe write a guide, I just need more experience lol

I've heard that BB doesn't own anymore is this true? Everybody's playing with the airblaster now? for me seems to be more fun but somewhat inneficient for my playstyle (ambusher).

Same old strategies like flank and BBQ or there's some nice ones with the airblast?

Well, the backburner's been nerfed (they've taken away the +50 health) and the pyro rush has died down a lot. Though there are still more pyros than there used to be.....

The Backburner didn't so much own as it warped the Pyros who wielded it into a class that was not at all what the makers of the game had envisioned. Everytime you'd see a BB Pyro before the update (except for the very skilled ones), all they would really do is bumrush straight on into hordes of people and still be successful; which is basically the opposite of what the Pyro is about. They took away the extra health in order to encourage you to play how a Pyro should, by learning flanking and ambushing techniques in order to make the most out of those delicious back crits. There are still several maps where the BB can still be a deadly force when used properly, but it's now outnumbered by situations where a Compression Blast is more handy.

Pyro is still fun to play. The axtinguisher is a great tool when used alongside the air blast.

Hey welcome back, yeah, as said they nerfed it, but i think it needs a little something back now, like 10 % speed boost, and there are still more pyros, also as said. I still can't play spy ><

I have yet to get the BB but I doubt I will use it at all because I honestly don't get behind people as much as their side. And, as for the air blast, I can't imagine being without it. It is a great tool against mine fields and soldiers. I have even deflected sentry rockets I think and now I love it.

The backburner has its moments, but the flamethrower is the overall better weapon. I find that the flamer is more useful to the team as it can be used for defense as well as offense. Where as the BB is more geared for offense. The BB shines brightest when used for ambushing, which it does quite well.

the backburner sucks now and we still have that flare gun thingy.
