How to choose your class. . .

How can you choose a good class for yourself?

Play all the classes and get a good feel of what they can do.

I'd say that with the new pyro updates, the choice is a no-brainer if you're coming in completely new.

Yeah, actually, Pyro is a good beginning class for anyone, no matter what updates just happened.
And yes, try them all.
Personally, my preference goes
Pyro
Scout
Medic
Engineer
Soldier
Heavy
Demoman
Spy
Sniper

But every class has its uses.  I'm trying to start running classes on how to play the game.  Check my thread about it!

I play the class that, from the teams view, is in the direst need. So i basically play everything... i just dont feel well changing class everytime my team is incapable of doing basic stuff

Why choose just one class? I agree that Pyro is newbie friendly, though I liked playing Soldier as my first class. Really, play all the classes and you'll probably find out that certain classes will work for you on certain maps. And yeah, as Tiger said, you need to be aware of what your team needs. You might not love playing Medic, but if your team is short, you may have to play it (of course, I love medic, so I don't know why anyone WOULDN'T want to play it ).

A lot of how you choose your class depends on your skills.  If you are good at aiming then you might have a better time with something like Soldier or sniper that emphasize those skills.  If you feel you might be better at moving and dodging and getting yourself into good positions to surprise people or avoid fire then you might like scout, medic, heavy or pyro as those classes are more about how well you can position yourself to your advantage.  If you feel like hanging out and smoking cigarettes while still playing you can't go wrong with Engie.   The great thing about TF2 is that the classes are so varied that they can cater to a wide range of play styles.   Try them all and find what you like.
