How to shoot through gate?

Hello all.  I've noticed that when I play dustbowl, there will sometimes be a demoman or pyro that can actually damage people on the other side of the gate before the round starts.  i.e. shooting a grenade through the gate.  So I have 2 questions:

1.) Yes it is a glitch, the demo can shoot through the gate provided he shoots in the right spot.

2.) For demo, you have to shoot it in the right spot (you can find out yourself); For the pyro, just aim the flamethrower towards the bottom of the gate, anyone stupid enough to go near the gate will be burned.

Hmm, I tried but to no avail.  Could you give me a general area I should be aiming for the demoman?

It's annoying enough! Honestly. I'm totally cool with the flamethrower shooting through the gate (as it technically should) but the grenade thing is a glitch and should not be used. No explaining glitches and hacks on these forums. 

the hole were you can shoot through between the door and stone is really good if your a heavy for the red but equally good if your a sniper for the blu the heavys there tryin to get kills the sniper gets a headshot on him he misses the beginning so thats already one heavy out the way

I see people doing it all the time in pubs... although it's not allowed for match play

I'm just remembering last night when I was spy I was taunting a pyro though the gates. But I got burned   That's the first time I've seen it though...

This is a glitch and should not be used. The flamethrower makes sense, but the demoman's nades should be blocked out. I guess no one uses it or cares enough to patch it. Even if you get some nades through you're not going to dish out much damage.

FYI: If you're facing the gate (on offence) you need to look at the far middle-left and shoot upwards, it will bounce right through.

It's lame though, don't use it
