I just don't get it, the guide lacks the basics: Like once you make a autoexec.cfg, how do you place the scripts in there? I tried just copy-pasting them in there, but none of them work, at all. In fact, it messed up my normal key settings.

Some more "total newbie" instructions would be helpful, as I just don't have the slightest idea how to impliment them.

you are better off practicing more and learning to do the maneuvers without the use of auto scripts.

scripts are lame.

Homicide, if you don't get them, I'd suggest not using them. They will interfere with your key settings, yes. You kinda need to know what you're doing.

Quick basics, though:

bind <key> <command>
When you press the named key, the command will be executed. For example:
bind j +jump
will cause you to jump every time you press the j key.

alias <name1> <command>
Will create a new command called name1 which does <command>. For example:
alias doublejump "+jump; wait 10; -jump; wait 10; +jump; wait 10; -jump"
will create a new command, "doublejump", which does a doublejump for scout.
You can then do bind j doublejump to bind that to a key.

OK, so it tells me to put these scripts in here so that the rest will work. Do I just copy paste them in, like this?

Alias scoutcfg "exec scout.cfg"
Alias snipercfg "exec sniper.cfg"
Alias soldiercfg "exec soldier.cfg"
Alias demomancfg "exec demoman.cfg"
Alias mediccfg "exec medic.cfg"
Alias hwguycfg "exec hwguy.cfg"
Alias pyrocfg "exec pyro.cfg"
Alias spycfg "exec spy.cfg"
Alias engineercfg "exec engineer.cfg"
BIND "KP_END" "scoutcfg"
BIND "KP_DOWNARROW" "snipercfg"
BIND "KP_PGDN" "soldiercfg"
BIND "KP_LEFTARROW" "demomancfg"
BIND "KP_5" "mediccfg"
BIND "KP_RIGHTARROW" "hwguycfg"
BIND "KP_HOME" "pyrocfg"
BIND "KP_UPARROW" "spycfg"
BIND "KP_PGUP" "engineercfg"

And if I want to put in, say, a spy script, do I just past it right after it?
If someone could post an example (what their autoexec looks like) it would help a lot.

Don't you need to put the commands in these: "<, >", as opposed to the quotation marks?

If you want a spy script, open up spy.cfg and paste the code in there. Whenever you join a class, the code in the <class name here>.cfg is automatically executed, so there is no need for the script you put in above.

OK I did that, and now it works...sort of.

I still have the same scripts working as a Pyro when the scripts are in the Spy cfg. What am I doing wrong? I just put the script in the Spy.cfg, but it still has the same effect on ALL classes. Same with the Demoman "pipe bomb jump" script.

You must bind the keys in your spy config to be what you want. That way, when you play spy, the script is executed and keys scripted. However, it is a good idea to have " exec "default.cfg" " in the start of every class cfg. You would have to make a default.cfg file that binds all the keys to their original tasks. When you don't rebind the keys, they don't change when you change class. I hope that makes sense.
