I hate you Microsoft

I am currently in a fit of rage because my 360 just broke. I hardly ever use the mother fucker, I just use this bitch to stream videos, that's about it. Now you are all probably wondering why it is that I am posting a thread about this? Well, this is my seventh 360 to break. Yes, my seventh, that is the number 7. I am on my fucking 7th 360. How much bullshit is that? Yes this is a pointless thread, but whatever, I just wanted to show everybody what great use I get out of my warranty. Well, here is the rundown of my breakages:

1st 360, launch model: Lasted 3 months, DVD drive failed.
2nd 360: Lasted 5 minutes, long enough to open the return "fixed" console from Microsoft. It came back with a RRoD. IT CAME BACK MORE BROKEN THAN WHEN I SENT IT.
3rd: Lasted 4 months, died of GPU failure, not even red ring. Wouldn't even turn on.
4th: Lasted 6 months died of Red Ring.
5th: Lasted maybe 8 months died of DVD drive failure (again)
6th: Lasted 8 or 9 months. GPU failure. Again.
7th: This one lasted the longest of all. An entire year. Woooo. Died of the notorious E74 error.
8th: I'm predicting a lifespan of 45 seconds, it will break when it explodes of crappy engineering and kills me and burns down my house killing my family as well.

I'm recalling the lifespans of them best my memory can permit. Some of them are probably a little off. Either way, it's bullshit and I'm fucking pissed.

Well, I'm on the phone with MS right now. And since this is the 8th or whatever time, they're setting up a call with a "Resolution Specialist" so I don't lose faith in MS. Hopefully I can get a free Elite or something haha.

I worked for MS for a few years back in the day. MS will do just about anything it takes to not lose a customer, which if you've ever taken any marketing classes is exactly what a company should do since it costs on average about 10x as much to get a new customer than to keep a current one. I doubt you'll get an elite, but see if you can get a couple of MS published games, or a couple years of XBoxLive for free. I'm not kidding...ask. Tell them you're strongly considering moving over to PSIII, that'll really snag them hook line and sinker.

I just want a bigger freaking harddrive. That'd be glorious. But yeah, I left them my phone number and they're going to have another specialist call my tomorrow and that is when I shall try to get free things.

The problem is that hardware is much more expensive, and it's contracted out to a 3rd party so that does actually cost MS quite a bit. But fuck it man, start w/ asking for a new HDD, and work your way down from there. They can afford to give away all the free games and XBoxLive subscriptions in the world since they control the production.

Fuck MS.

I was told on the 3rd that they would call in 3-5 business days because I can't recover my Gamertag.  Again the following sunday.  It's now been 2 weeks and about 12 hours of being on call with customer support, more time because they had me call Lynksys and Comcast, and now when I called I was told, by a supervisor "You'll get a call sometime, usually within 3-5 business days, and I don't know how to help you, so I'm going to help another customer instead."  I replied "Oh yeah, well then Fuck you"

I'm tired of all the Bullshit.  For real, I pay for this, and their customer support says they'd rather help another customer.  WTF.

I'm gonna try what Static said, but if they're not willing to compensate me for freaking being on the phone for like 13 hours and waiting longer than they said, I'm just gonna stop buying products from them.  Even if I love playing with my friends on Live, it's really not worth all this BS and trouble.

I've only had the RRoD once, and that was because I dropped the hard drive. My secret? The intercooler. Cools down your xbox a lot better, and apparently keeps the RRoD away.

Of course, now that I've said that, I'm gonna get it tommorow...
