Ok, here goes another mindless rant. I have a Xbox 360 and I have the orange box for it. I have been playing it since December and it is the best bloody game I have played for years and alas, I am quitting. I am fed up with the lack of player skill and sportsmenship. I am tired having said to me "WTFBBQ?!! YOU HACKER! YOU COULD HAVE NEVER BEATEN ME!!!111" after I say "Good game guys, better luck next time.". Luckily, I have bought TF2 Pc and I am getting a gaming PC shipped to me in August. I am going to either give away or trade in my 360 version of the game and hope for the best. Speaking of lack of player skill, I was playing a game a mere 2o minutes ago and my team lost 3 times. The first time, a scout with very little health was on our last capture and a full health heavy on my team walk right past him . The second, three enemies were on the capture point and I was the only one who went out to attempt to stop them while the rest of my able bodied team stayed in the spawn room and talked about bacon sandwiches (no joke). The third and final loss was a lone enemy heavy (I watched this on my kill cam) capturing the point. I disguised friendly spy was right behind him but did nothing but stand there and wait. I will not get rid of Tf2 360 untill I get my PC. Is this the right desicion?

Just try to find a server owned by someone who has a clan or something. Those usually have better players.

If you want to see lack of sportsmenship, you should play WoW for a while.

I personally have not played TF2 on the 360, however, everyone I have spoken to (including posts on this site) raves about the PC version.  It is far superior to the 360.  So totally give TF2 on the PC a try.

I, on occasion, come across idiots who can't take a loss or want to spoil everyone's fun by being a jackass, but if that happens I first ignore it.  If that doesn't work, I'll mute the player ranting on voice or simply leave that game.  As stated by garrett, you can find some pretty good clan-run servers (need I mention TF2f?) where the people who tend to frequent those servers are pretty kick ass player and all around good people.  And, if some Joe Schmo ends up on the server, acting like an imbecile, he or she will get kicked pretty damn quick (we've got some good admins).  Behavior like that won't be tolerated with active and mature admins.

So, I wouldn't give up just yet.

Black markel, if you want a better Xbox community with better sportsmanship and more clans; go here: http://forums.xbox.com/733/ShowForum.aspx it's the orange box section of Xbox.com. There are plenty of clans on that website to choose from (I assume you're not already in one).

QFT!!!!!

@Markel:  I feel your pain man, but if you're really looking for a hardcore competitive TF community, you should have NEVER touched TF on Xbox.  I haven't played the PC version myself, but as new to the game as I am, I consistently destroy 75% of opponents.  The trend on 360 seems to be "pick the class with the most firepower" rather than "use your brain to win".  Im a very strategic "chess gamer".  I try to think one step ahead of my opponent, anticipate his next move and prepare to counter it before he even respawns.  But most Xbox players on TF walk in to a battle of wits unarmed and while it is totally disappointing, I do get tired of listening to my teammates scream elitist expletives into their mic after our team loses.  In the end, I believe it is just a game, its just a fun hobby to kill free time with and as I stated when I opened my post, if you are a "must win" player, gtfo of the Xbox TF community as fast as possible.  =)

I played Xbox before I played PC version. The Xbox version is inferior in every way.
