 Hello!

Being an Engi is bliss and I love my job. However I was thinking that there should be a change to gameplay if I am to depart from my beloved sentry due to a backstab, pipe, rocket, fire or bullet.
My suggestion is that if I am to die and my sentry stays up, instead of having it vulnerable to a sap or whatever, how about adding a forcefield around it when I die making it safe from being destroyed and also making it safe for the opponent to cap a point such as in Dustbowl. And when I resurrect the forcefield goes away and I can resume my duties.
Come on engineers lets work!

No, that would not be fair. That's SUPPOSED to be one of the ways to kill a sentry. You need to learn that yes, your class has flaws, it is supposed to have flaws. EVERY class has a basic flaw or flaws that make it balanced with the other classes.

Scout: Low health, low range

Soldier: Slow, splash damage

Pyro: Close range, everyone hates you

Demoman: Hard to use at close range

Heavy: Very slow, very big

Engineer: No main weapon of his own, sentry is dependent on him

Medic: Low battle capability, high priority target

Sniper: Very vulnerable

Spy: Most difficult class to play, low health, low battle capability, usually no medics in area around him.


If you took away ANY of those disadvantages then they would become over powered, such as a scout with 200 health, or a heavy that doesn't slow down while firing, an Engineer who's sentry gets a forcefield when he dies.

Yes, I would keep suiciding to create a nigh invulnerable sentry. Slightly OP in my opinion, slightly in the way the sea is slightly deep.
