Im a spy. Looking for a clan.

I have completely obsessed my self with Tf2. Thats why i was thinking of joining a clan. I cant really judge myself but im usually pretty good. Every 20 mins i get about 80 kills or about 4 kills per minute depending on the enemy, one thing that i can assure you, i get more kills than deaths. I'm a spy but i also like to be engineer and rarely pyro. Im looking for a clan thats not obsessed with getting members but obsessed with getting good members. My favorite map is ctf_sawmill. Oh yeah i almost forgot, im on a pc.

You sound like you're looking for a community.. rather than a clan.

A clan compete as a tightly-knit group, each taking different roles, such as medic buddy or roaming soldier. They tend to play against other clans, and such games are very competitive. Classes such as spy or pyro are very rare in clan games, as the teams tend to be composed of scouts, soldiers, medics and demomen only.

A community might be centered around a server (or servers, in the case of TF2F). Games are somewhat more casual (although the TF2F servers are probably some of the least "casual" servers out there, they are still a whole lot more casual than clan games) and spy is a common class.

I guess you're right. The Spy is a common class. That probably means i'm not gonna find a clan does it? Can someone recommend a brand new clan?

It's not that spy is a common class - it's that in highly competitive play, there is no need for a spy.

You'll have fun hanging out in a community as a spy, but if you want to get into clanned competitive play, you'll need to get good at either soldier, scout, demoman or medic. Sometimes a scout gets a chance to switch to spy for a round or two, so you might consider scout.

That's a real downer. Its just that in communities you cant stand out. There are hundreds of members and saying we have a new spy isn't gonna surprise anyone whereas saying that in a small team would probably be like "Great a good addition to our team" or something. That's just sad, anyway i might still look for a clan, not everyone has the same sense of thinking.

Well, good luck! I'd suggest finding clans that don't specialise in 6v6 matches or compete in the big leagues, since those clans and leagues pretty much all use the same ideas.

Ideal for you might be a style of play called "Highlander", where every team has 1 of each class for 9v9 in total. I don't know, but maybe there are clans and leagues which play only that style.

Highlander? I wanna know more Id be very interested to join an active clan like that!
