Improvement or downgrade?

I was thinking for the new heavy update when it comes out should there be a mini gun that increases your speed but Does less damage? Sure the heavy is meant to do large damage but the fact is that its too easy to headshot or sticky a heavy because it is just too slow.

I would rather have the cone effect taken out and have less damage. Having the bullets travel parallel to the gun, even with lesser damage would be a threat to snipers already...

Do you mean a lighter gun? How do you think the HWG would react to Sasha being taken from him? How could you be so cruel...

But in all seriousness, I don't think it's a great idea, because the HWG was born to be powerful but slow. It's just how he is.

Can you just imagine the Heavy's reaction if Valve let the player switch out his assault cannon for something lighter?

"... Who touched my gun?! WHO TOUCHED SASHA?!!"

Yeah. To take on snipers, you've got to have the shotgun out. A HW dodging with the shotgun is actually pretty scary at medium-range; he's very hard to hurt and will be consistently damaging you...

Or a gun that fires without the charge up time but does less damage or has no crits...?

More ammo but less damage

I think the Heavy is fine how he is.
Sasha is too important to be replaced.
