Incredibly frustrating

So I was on 3rd stage of dustbowl as Red Engie. I'm the only engie besides one other guy on a team of around 15. The other engie places his junk that little cubby whole at Cap 2. Dosen't do anything but smack at his sentry(Lvl. 3). It was the biggest sterotype of an engie I had ever seen. Also, didn't help me with my sentry(Joined late). Even though mine was in plain view. Mabye I'm overreacting but jesus is this the sterotype engineers want to promote?

P.S. This basically leads me to a question, how do you deal with bad unhelping engies(teammates in general)?

But sometimes Dro0g does stuff like this, it's almost like he's griefing.  I just leave or go to the other team.

Some people don't get the whole team, part of TF2.  It takes some time but they come around.

Engineers on the TF2F servers are very aware of their fellow engineers, and 9 out of 10 times one engie will help another in times of trouble. If you go to random servers as I sometimes do, expect bad engineering; no teleports, no assistance with spy attacks, etc. Simply be the better engineer and help your fellows, even if they're too selfish to care about anything but their own toys.

Most of the time when an engineer is just caring about him/herselfI I just assume he/she's is a noob or too busy. If it's a noob I usally help them out so they get the messag.
